Google individuals tournaments to contact their tournament directors and staff directly.

Also look at the USGA, the PGA of America and the First Tee program (then select "Involvement" as the Employment section will show up in the drop down menu).

Hidden gems exists in each state's golf association. The Virginia State Golf Association affords opportunities in tournament management and other areas. The same holds true in the other states around the nation.
